Simple answer: People are misogynistic asswipes that turn into a bunch of entitled little pricks when someone dares to express an opinion they don’t share.
Detailed answer: Basically, Kat did an interview (which I have not actually seen- only parts of it that have been gifed) where she expressed her excitement in getting to work with Ian more for the upcoming season and her support for Bamon. I believe she said something like “give the people what they want” and “it would be a shame if the writers didn’t explore that relationship.” And all these shit heads are up in arms about it because how fucking dare she have an opinion, how rude and insulting of her to not consider that not every single one of her fans ships Bamon, how inconsiderate of a woman (of color) to express herself.
It’s just another example of how shitty fandom can be, especially to the women that are a part of our favorite shows- the ones we should be encouraging to speak up, not silencing. Because Ian has made very similar comments and the reaction is more along the lines of “awww what a sweetheart for wanting to work with his good friend and for being supportive of all the ships, not just delena” but when kat says it the reaction is “look at this devil bitch coming in here trying to steal our man and force her opinions on us god she’s the worst ugh i used to like her but now i have no respect for her womp womp womp privileged hater tears womp womp womp.”
But apparently Kat has a blog and spends some time in these tags and told the haters to sit the fuck down, so there’s that awesomeness…
